This is what sin is all about. Sin is all about promising us satisfaction, but it never keeps its promises. It can’t, because we weren’t made to satisfy ourselves. No, all sin does is blind us to the truth… We were made to find our satisfaction in a loving relationship with God, but sin convinces us to spend our lives in a self-loving relationship with ourselves. The tragedy is that in the end it doesn’t even work. Sin leaves us bitter, empty, and filled with regret. Worst of all, it leaves us outside the love of God, the one thing that could have satisfied us. It leaves us exposed to His righteous anger that was provoked by our decision to love anything and everything except Him, the one and only who was worthy of our love.

INGREDIENTS

1		Jar (42.5-oz) 100% natural applesauce
1	cn	(12-oz) frozen apple juice concentrate; no sugar added, undiluted
3	ts	Ground cinnamon
1	ts	Ground allspice
1/4	ts	Ground cloves

Here is a quick and super easy recipe for apple butter that I found on the
back of a jar of Seneca Natrual AppleSauce.  I like it, because it has no
added sugar.  I love it on top of pancakes and waffles.
Combine all ingredients in a blender container and blend until smooth. Pour
pureed mixture into a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to
low and simmer for about 1 hour and 20 minutes with the lid ajar to allow
steam to escape. Cool to room temperature in the original applesauce jar or
other container. Store covered container in refrigerator.
Makes about 2 1/2 pounds of apple butter.  From: Seneca Applesauce.

That our roles differ is a cause for rejoicing and glory – not a cause for shame or depression. When both roles complement each other beautifully, we demonstrate to the world a picture of God’s divine image that is breathtaking to behold. We demonstrate the union of Christ and His Bride, the Church. Rejecting our roles or revising them to suit our individual tastes and plans is blasphemy. I didn’t say it; St. Paul did.
