Apple-date Cream Cake

Eggs, Grains Cake 12 Servings

INGREDIENTS

2 c Flour
1 c Sugar
1 1/2 t Soda
1 t Salt
1 t Cinnamon
1/2 t Allspice
2 Eggs, slightly beaten
1 21-oz apple pie filling
1/2 c Oil
1 t Vanilla
1 c Chopped dates
1 c Chopped nuts
Cool whip

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine first 6 ingredients; stir gently. Combine next 4 ingredients;
mix well and stir into dry ingredients. Stir in dates and nuts. Pour
into a greased and floured 13x9-2-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for  35
minutes. Cool. Top with Cool Whip or whipped cream.  From a collection
