INSTRUCTIONS
Grease and flour a tube pan and set aside. Combine applesauce, shortening
and sugar together in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; boil for 5 minutes,
stirring occasionally. Combine fruit and nuts in a large bowl, adding
flour, soda, salt and spices and stir together. Fold in cooked mixture
until well moistened. Pour into the prepared pan and bake at 275 degrees
for 2 hours or until done.
Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely.
