INGREDIENTS
| 1 | lg | Onion; chopped |
| 1/4 | lb | Butter or margarine |
| 1 1/2 | ts | Salt |
| 1 | c | Raw rice |
| 2 | cn | Consomme |
| 1 | Soup can water | |
| 1 | pk | Slivered almonds; optional |
INSTRUCTIONS
Saute onion with butter & almonds. Do not let almonds get too brown. Add rice, salt, consomme & water. Pour into 2-quart casserole dish & bake in preheated oven at 350 for 1 to 1-1/2 hours or until done. Cover dish for the first 20 minutes. Serves 8-10. MRS W.A.
