INSTRUCTIONS
Put the sultanas, dates and spices into a jar and cover with whisky
and leave overnight.
Pour off any suplus whiskey. Stuff the sultanas and dates into the
apples.
Place a good slice of butter on each apple and a teaspoon of dark
sugar on top of the butter.
Cook, uncovered, in a moderate oven until the apples are soft, basting
occasionally.
Serve with all the juices from the dish and pouring cream.
