Buttermilk
INSTRUCTIONS
1) Combine the flour, salt, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ginger, sugar (both white
and brown), and oil. Mix with an electric beater until well blended.
2) Take out 3/4 cup of the mixture for the topping. To this mixture add the
nuts and an additional 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and mix well. Set aside.
3) To the remaining mixture add the soda, baking powder, egg and
buttermilk. Mix until smooth. Pour into a 9" x 13" greased pan. Sprinkle on
the topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. I guarantee you will
*NEVER* eat a better coffeecake!
