INGREDIENTS

1 lb Beef sirloin, cubed
2 tb Margarine (butter browns too fast)
1 c Fresh mushrooms, sliced
3 Green onions, sliced
1 ts All-purpose flour
2/3 c Burgundy (or alcohol-free red wine)
1/2 c Water
1/2 ts Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Brown meat in margarine in frying pan.  Transfer to saucepan.
Brown mushrooms and onion in frying pan.
Mix in flour.  Add Burgundy, water and salt.  Stir until it boils.
Pour over meat.  Cover.  Simmer until tender when pierced with fork,
about 40 to 60 minutes.  Serves 2  Typed in MMFormat by
