Beef’n Potato Bake

INGREDIENTS

4 c Frozen Hash Brown Potatoes; thawed
3 tb Vegetable oil
1/8 ts Black pepper
1 lb Ground beef
1 pk Brown Gravy Mix
1 cn Durkee French Fried Onions
1 cn Water
1/2 ts Garlic salt
1 pk Frozen Mixed Vegetables; (10-ozs)
1 c Shredded cheese; (4-ozs) American or
Cheddar

INSTRUCTIONS

In a shallow 1-1/2-quart baking dish, combine potatoes, oil and pepper.
Firmly press mixture across the bottom, and up the sides of dish to form a
shell. Bake, uncovered, at 400` for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a skillet, brown and drain ground beef. Stir in gravy mix,
water and garlic salt; bring to a boil. Add mixed vegetables; reduce heat
to medium, and cook 5 minutes. Stir in 1/2 cup cheese and 1/2 can of french
fried onions; place in potato shell. Bake, uncovered, at 350` for 15
minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and onions. Bake 5 minutes longer.
