Each time our consciences “sound off” we can either muffle or unleash the volume of their impact. Prompt obedience sharpens the clarity of truth’s familiar sound, causing our spiritual senses to go on high alert. The more we obey, the greater affirmation we have that we are honest and genuine. A highly trained, truth-sensitive conscience will give us no rest when we edge toward compromise. If, instead of resolutely fleeing sin, we suppress the truth through rationalization and compromise, the clearest resonation of right and wrong will become faint. Do this enough times and no bell of truth will ring at all!

INGREDIENTS

6	oz	Semisweet chocolate, chopped or bittersweet
1/3	c	Fresh raspberries, packed or thawed
3/4	c	Whipping cream
		Icing sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

In top of double boiler over hot (not boiling) water, melt chocolate;
transfer to large bowl and let cool completely. Stirring occasionally.
In food processor, pure raspberries; press through fine mesh sieve to make
about 1/4 cup pure. Stir into cooled chocolate.
In bowl, whip cream; whisk one-quarter into chocolate mixture. Fold in
remaining whipped cream.
Lightly grease and line bottom of four 1/2-cup ramekins or custard cups, or
one 2-cup pt mould, with parchment-paper rounds. Spoon in mousse. Cover and
refrigerate for about 2 hours or until firm.
[Mousse can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.]
Turn mousse out onto dessert plates; remove paper and dust lightly with
icing sugar.
For classy presentation, add a few fresh or barely thawed unsweetened
berries and whipped cream mixture with yogurt, or a sauce made from pured
strained raspberries, sweetened if you wish.

Matthew 7, verse 1: “Do not judge so that you will not be judged.” Verse 2, “For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.” Judging others is flat-out dangerous. For how can we suppose that we can act so unmercifully to God’s people and then expect to receive the mercy we desire so much from God? Be prepared! The measure of sinful judgment we extend to others will be proportioned back to us in like measure. One author said judgment is like a boomerang, it comes back and hangs you on its own gallows.
