Effective parents equip their children to overcome the world – not by changing and controlling their environment (things external to their children), but by going after their children’s hearts. We change their hearts by teaching the gospel, modeling the gospel, and centering our homes on the gospel. The gospel, rightly understood and modeled, makes Christianity attractive. Effective parents make the gospel so attractive that the world cannot get a foothold in their children’s hearts.

INGREDIENTS

1/2	c	Butter or margarine; room temp.
1/2	c	Sugar
1 1/4	c	Flour
1/2	c	Grape Nuts cereal
2	tb	Thawed frozen orange juice concentrate
1	tb	Grated orange peel
1		Egg
1	ts	Baking powder

INSTRUCTIONS

Directions Preheat oven to 350. In medium bowl, beat together butter,
sugar, egg, orange juice concentrate and orange peel, until light and
fluffy. Add flour and baking powder, beating until blended. Stir in cereal.
Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12
minutes or until golden. Remove from cookie sheet for cooling. by Susan, A
