INGREDIENTS
| 3/4 | c | Butter or margarine; softened |
| 1 1/2 | c | Brown sugar; packed |
| 2 | Eggs; beaten | |
| 1 | ts | Vanilla |
| 2 2/3 | c | Flour; unsifted |
| 2 | ts | Baking powder |
| 1/4 | ts | Salt |
| 1 | c | Black walnuts; chopped |
INSTRUCTIONS
Notes: By Janet Christman, Parryville. The Times News, PA Mix fat and sugar until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Mix flour, baking powder and salt thoroughly; add to creamy mixture. Add nuts and mix well. Chill dough 1 hour. Form dough into 3 rolls about 8 inches long and wrap in wax paper or plastic wrap, tightly. Chill thoroughly. Preheat oven to 375.. Grease baking sheets. Remove roll of dough from refrigerator. Unwrap. Slice 1/8 inch thick. Place 1 inch apart on baking sheet. Bake 7 to 10 minutes. Remove from baking sheet while warm. Makes 9 dozen.
