God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
Why do I carry on this business, or why am I engaged in this trade or profession? In most instances the answer would be, “I am engaged in my earthly calling so that I may support myself and my family.” Here is the chief error that causes almost all the other errors by children of God concerning their calling. To be engaged in a business merely to obtain the necessities of life for ourselves and family is not scriptural. We should work because it is the Lord’s will concerning us” (Eph. 4:28).

1
tb
Vegetable oil; or cooking spray
1
lg
Onion; diced
1 1/2
lb
Lean ground beef
2
Envelopes brown gravy mix; OR prepared gravy
Mashed potatoes
INSTRUCTIONS
Note: I use a dry brown gravy mix available at health food stores. The
brand is Hain.
Heat oil in a skillet; add onion and saute over medium-low heat until
softened. Add the ground beef; brown, breaking beef up into small pieces.
Drain off any excess fat. If using a dry gravy mix, either prepare the
gravy in a separate saucepan and add to ground beef mixture, OR remove meat
from the skillet, set aside, prepare the gravy in the skillet, then return
the meat to the skillet and heat through. That's it.
Serve over mashed potatoes, either homemade or from a box. Blue plate
special is usually with peas and carrots on the side.
