INGREDIENTS

2 tb Vegetable oil
1 md Onion; finely chopped
2 lg Garlic cloves; minced
1 Bottle chili sauce; (12-ounce)
3/4 c Beer
1/4 c Unsulfured; (light) molasses
3 tb Cider vinegar
3 tb Bourbon whiskey
1 1/2 ts Worcestershire sauce
1/2 ts Hot pepper sauce; (such as Tabasco)

INSTRUCTIONS

Heat oil in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and
garlic; saute until tender, about 8 minutes. Reduce heat. Add chili
sauce, beer, molasses, vinegar, bourbon and Worcestershire sauce.
Simmer until reduced to 2 cups, stirring occasionally, about 25
minutes. Stir in hot pepper sauce. (can be made up to 1 month ahead.
Cover; chill.)
Makes about 2 cups.
