INGREDIENTS

1/2 c Flour
1 1/2 t Salt
1/2 c Corn Meal
3/4 c Dark molasses
2 c Milk
3/4 c Sugar
1 1/2 t Baking soda
3 c Whole wheat flour
1 Egg
1/2 c Melted shortening

INSTRUCTIONS

Sift flour, baking soda, sugar, and salt together. Mix in corn meal
and whole wheat flour.  Add remaining ingredients, mixing only untill
all flour is moistened. Pour into 2 greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pans.  Bake
at 300F for 1 hour and 15 minutes.  Remove from pans and cool.  From
