1 T Sugar
1 1/2 lb Onions, peeled sliced
1/4 c Madeira grated cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

Saute onions in butter. Stir in sugar, lower heat and cook very  slowly
one hour.  Stir in the wine, cook briefly, and pour over a  pound of
