Using a cotten-covered swab, a pastry brush or a very small, clean brush,
paint the carved-out part with liquid browning sauce.
Put 1 tablespoon butter or margaring into a 8 inch round microwavable dish.
Microwave uncovered on High 15 to 30 seconds or until melted.
Sprinle the flat sides of the potatoes with 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt.
Put potatoes with the flat sides down in a circle in the melted margarine.
Microwave uncovered on High 4 minutes. Turn the dish 1/2 turn, Microwave 2
to 4 minutes longer or until the potatoes are tender when poked with a
fork.
Let stand uncovered 5 minutes before serving.
NOTES : If you do not have liquid browning sauce, use molasses (potato my
taste a bit sweet). Round, short potatoes will take a little longer to
microwave than flat, long potatoes.
