So secure is (King) Jesus in who He is – the Father’s beloved Son – that He is free to serve rather than tyrannize His subjects, and to deal gently rather than harshly with the lowest and the weakest of them (Mt. 12:20; 11:25-30). Shredded cheddar or Swiss cheese
INSTRUCTIONS

Cook broccoli according to package directions; drain. Spoon rice into
13x9x2 baking pan. Place broccoli over rice. Melt butter in a large
skillet. Sprinkle 2 T. of melted butter over the bread crumbs and set
aside. In remaining butter, saute onion until soft. Add flour, salt,
pepper, stirring constantly until bubbly. Stir in milk and continue cooking
until sauce thickens and bubbles. Cook and stir for 1 minute; add ham and
heat through. Pour over rice and broccoli. Sprinkle crumbs over all. Bake
350 for 30 minutes or until heated through. Sprinkle with cheese, let stand
5 minutes before serving. Yields 8 servings.
