Broccoli Rabe with Olive Oil And Garlic

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 lb Broccoli rabe; rinsed, thick ends
Stems trimmed; cut 2" lengths
Salt; to taste
2 tb Extra-virgin olive oil
1 Garlic clove; cut thin slivers
1 pn Red hot pepper flakes

INSTRUCTIONS

Fill a large wide saucepan with water; heat to boiling. Add the
broccoli rabe and salt; boil until tender, 6 to 8 minutes. Drain
immediately. Wipe the pan dry. Add the oil, garlic and red pepper
flakes to the saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring, until warmed
and garlic begins to sizzle, about 5 minutes. Stir the broccoli rabe
into the warm oil to coat. Serve at once. This recipe yields 4
servings.
