Broiled Grapefuit

INGREDIENTS

2 Grapefuit
4 tb Brown sugar
4 ts Melted butter
1/2 sm Apple; thinly sliced

INSTRUCTIONS

OPTIONAL
Cut grapefruit in half, crosswise. With a sharp knife, grapefruit knife or
scissors, remove any seeds and the tough fibrous center.  Cut between
segments.  Sprinkle each half with 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1 teaspoon
melted butter.  Place very thin slices of unpeeled apple between the
segments if desired. Place in broiling pan under broiling unit for 10
minutes. Serve at once.
NOTES : The center of the grapefuit may be filled with a mixture of =
chopped pecans and preserved or candied ginger.
