(8 to 10) frankfurters |
INSTRUCTIONS
Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in corn meal. Cut
in shortening until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Combine egg and milk;
add to corn meal mixture, stirring until well blended. Insert wooden skewer
into end of each frank. Spread franks evenly with batter. Fry in deep hot
oil (375°F.) until brown, 4 to 5 minutes. Serve with catsup and mustard.
