2/3 | c | Yellow corn meal |
2 | T | Shortening |
1 | Slightly beaten egg | |
3/4 | c | Milk |
1 | lb | 8 to 10 frankfurters |
INSTRUCTIONS
Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in corn meal. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Combine egg and milk; add to corn meal mixture, stirring until well blended. Insert wooden skewer into end of each frank. Spread franks evenly with batter.
