Vegetable cooking spray

Hamburger buns; (1-1/2-ounce) split

Lettuce leaves

Tomato slices

INSTRUCTIONS
Heat the oil a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 cup
onion; saute 3 minutes or until tender.
Combine sauteed onion, meat, fresh thyme, salt, pepper, and egg in a bowl,
and stir well. Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions, shaping each
into a 3-1/2-inch patty.
Coat skillet with cooking spray, and place over medium-high heat until hot.
Add patties; cook 3 minutes. Turn the patties over; reduce heat to
medium-low, and cook 1 minute. Add the vermouth; cover and cook an
additional 2 minutes. Serve patties on hamburger buns with lettuce, tomato,
and onion. Yield: 4 servings.
