INSTRUCTIONS
In a heavy 2-quart saucepan melt the butter, add the brown sugar, and stir
over low heat until the sugar and butter have melted together and bubble.
Slowly whisk in the cream and 1 c milk. Stir until smooth. Remove from the
heat. In a small bowl, beat together the eggs, flour, and 1 c milk. Add to
the sugar mixture. Add the salt, and return to the stove. Over medium heat,
stir constantly until thickened. While still over medium heat, beat with a
rotary hand mixer at medium speed for 3 minutes. Remove from the heat, stir
in the vanilla, and pour into a 2-quart casserole dish or 8 individual
pudding cups. Chill.
