Calamari With Hot Bean Sauce

INGREDIENTS

900 g Calamari, squid
1 T Oil
1 Clove garlic, minced
1 t Minced ginger
1/2 c Each green and red pepper
sliced
1 T Hot bean paste
2 T Soy sauce
1 T Rice wine
1 Green onion, chopped
Salt to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

23:34:40 +0700 1. Cleaning calamari.Cut  poen body of
calamari,clean.Cut off tentacles and reserve.Remove  purple
membrane,rinse body and tentacles,drain well.  2. Score the
calamari.Cut calamari into 2"(5 cm) pieces.  3. Bring a pot of water to
a boil,drop in calamari, stir and  remove.Drain throughly and set
aside.  4. Heat wok, add oil and stir fry garlic and ginger.Add peppers
and  remaining ingredients.Return calamari to wok and combine. Be
careful  not to overcook calamari. Makes 4-6 servings.  EAT-L Digest 29
