Can Evolution and Faith in God be Combined?

If you have faith, then you trust that what God has said of himself is true. If you know what God has said, you will also know that there is no room for the God-less “evolution” theory proposed by many scientists today. They were not there to observe evolution, and have no spokesman who was. They do not have a document thousands of years old that specifies the order evolution proceeded in, as the Bible reveals creation.
God created plants. God created animals. God created man. And He did it in 6 days. If these statements were false, then God is a liar, and is not God. And in this case, we could claim he does not even exist.
Belief in truth is not based upon fear. It is based upon a love for truth, as opposed to fear or hate of truth which breeds lies. In their fear/hate, ignorance and pride, many men promote evolution to the exclusion of God. And they will forever miss the opportunity to know the love that created them, and the Father who sent his Son to wash away their sins to be close to Him once more.
There is a denomination that states, “Where the Bible speaks, we speak. Where it is silent, we are silent.” This is a good policy in the absence of a Living God who speaks to man. If today’s Christian leaders followed even this sad policy, they could acknowledge that science may fill in some “silent” places in the creation account. I am refering to the “Gap Theory” that inserts a huge span of time between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2.
I see no room in the Creation account for evolution…but I do see room in the Bible for scientific fact.
