God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
Pride is blindness to our faults, sins, and failings. Most importantly, pride is blind to the existence of itself. Therefore, the more proud you are, the more humble you will feel, and the more humble you are, the more proud you will feel. That is because true humility is the opening of the eyes to our personal sin, and one of the first things a humble person becomes aware of is his or her pride.

Place all ingredients except flavoring in top of double boiler (not over
heat); beat 1 minute with electric mixer. Place over boiling water and
cook, beating constantly until frosting forms stiff peaks, about 7 minutes
(don't overcook). Remove from boiling water. Pour into mixing bowl and add
maple, beat until of spreading consistency, about 2 minutes. Frosts tops
and sides of 2 8 or 9-inch layers or one 10-inch tube. From BH&G.
