INGREDIENTS
1 | Cinnamon stick – 1.5 inch | |
3 | Cardamom pods, up to 4 | |
2 | Black pepper corns, up to 3 | |
2 | Cloves, up to 3 | |
1/2 | t | Ground ginger |
1 | c | Water |
1 | t | Sugar |
1 | t | Darjeeling tea leaves |
1/4 | t | Masala Spice Mix |
1/4 | c | Milk |
INSTRUCTIONS
Grind cinnamon stick, cardamom, black pepper corns, and cloves to a powder. Stir in ground ginger. Combine water, sugar, tea and 1/4 teaspoon spice mix in a pan and bring to a boil. Simmer for one minute. Add milk, bring to a boil and simmer for 3-5 minutes. Strain into a mug or teapot.
