Dairy Appetizers, To post 40 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1/2 c Butter Or Margarine
2 c N.Y. State Cheese (Sharp Cheddar); grated
1 1/2 c Flour
1 ds Cayenne Pepper
1 ts Sugar
1 pk (8 Oz.) Dates; cut into small pcs.
2 tb Water
1 tb Sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

DOUGH
FILLING
  FOR THE DOUGH:
Mix first 3 ingredients thoroughly. Add cayenne pepper and sugar. Mix well.
  FOR THE FILLING:
Mix these ingredients well and cook 3 minutes.
  TO ASSEMBLE:
Roll cheese dough thinly; cut with biscuit cutter. Spread date mixture on
each round; fold over and press edges to seal. Bake at 375° for 15 to 20
minutes.
Makes about 40 biscuits.
