INGREDIENTS

2 c All-purpose flour
1/2 ts Garlic powder
1/4 ts Salt
1/4 ts Cayenne pepper
2 c Cheddar cheese, lowfat; shredded
1/2 c Butter; cold
6 tb Cold water; up to 10
1 Egg; beaten
3 tb Sesame seeds; toasted

INSTRUCTIONS

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, salt and cayenne. Cut
in cheese and butter until pieces are the size of small peas. Sprinkle 1
tablespoon of water over part of the mixture.  Gently toss with a fork.
Push to the side of the bowl.  Repeat until all of the mixture is
moistened.  Shape the dough into a ball.
On a lightly floured surface, flatten dough with hands.  Roll out dough
from center to edges, forming a large thin square.  Brush with the beaten
egg; sprinkle with the sesame seed.  Cut dough into strips (5"x 1/2");
twist each strip.  Place strips on a lightly greased baking sheet.  Bake at
400 for 10 - 12 minutes or until golden brown.
