Chile Con Queso Bread

INGREDIENTS

1 Loaf French bread
1/4 c Chopped green chile
4 tb Mayonnaise
1/2 ts Onion salt
1/2 ts Garlic salt
2/3 c Grated Cheddar or Longhorn cheese

These recipes were sent to me by a friend in Albuquerque.
MIX chile, mayonnaise, salts, and cheese.  SLICE bread into 12 slices; cut
each slice in half.  BAKE sliced bread on 2 cookie sheets at 425 degrees
for 4 minutes or until lightly browned. REMOVE cookie sheets from oven,
turn bread untoasted side up; spread 1-2 tablespoons cheese mixture on
untoasted side of each slice. BROIL 3 minutes or until cheese is melted and
bubbly.  SERVE immediately. MAKES 24 pieces.
