2 1/2 lb Fresh pears, peeled cored
and sliced
1 c Brown sugar, firmly packed
3/4 c Cider vinegar
5 T Chpped onion
1 t Salt
1 t Chile powder
1/4 t Cumin
2 T Chpoped pimiento
4 T Chopped green anaheim chiles
1 Serrano chile, seeded and
finely chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

12:57:55 GMT  From a pamplet I got from Shepard's seeds. Place all
ingredients in a  heavy saucepan; stir to blend. Cover and cook the
mixture over low  heat for 30 minutes, adding an additional 1/4 cup
water if necessary.  Uncover and continue cooking for about 25 minutes
or just until the  mixture is thickend, stirring frequently. Serve
