INGREDIENTS
| 1/2 | c | Shortening |
| 1/2 | c | Peanut butter |
| 1/2 | c | Granulated sugar |
| 1/2 | c | Packed brown sugar |
| 1 | Egg | |
| 2 | tb | Water |
| 1 1/4 | c | Flour |
| 3/4 | ts | Soda |
| 1/2 | ts | Baking powder |
| 1/4 | ts | Salt |
| 2 | pk | (6-oz) semi-sweet chocolate morsels |
| 1/2 | c | Chopped; salted peanuts |
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat oven to 375. Grease a 13x9x2-inch pan. Mix shortening, peanut butter, sugars & egg thoroughly. Stir in water, flour, soda, baking powder, salt & 1 package chocolate morsels. Spread in pan. Bake about 20 minutes. Remove from oven & immediately sprinkle remaining package of chocolate morsels evenly over baked layer. Place baking sheet over pan so contained heat will soften morsels. Spread softened chocolate evenly. Sprinkle with peanuts & cut into bars. Makes about 32 cookies. MRS.
