Chocolate Decadence Bread Pudding

INGREDIENTS

3 c Whole milk – divided
4 Squares (1-oz each) semi-sweet baking chocolate
3/4 c Sugar
1/4 c Butter or margarine
8 oz Old fashioned or other firm white bread, cuber (5 c. cubed) (this is a great way to use up some of the homemade bread that you may have left over)
2 ts Vanilla extract
3/4 ts Ground cinnamon
3 Eggs, lightly beaten

INSTRUCTIONS

For custard, combine 2 cups milk, sugar and butter in large microwave-safe
bowl. Microwave on high (100%) for 9 minutes, stirring every three minutes,
or until chocolate is melted. Stir in bread cubes, vanilla, cinnamon, and
remaining milk into hot mixture. Stir in eggs. Let stand five minutes. Stir
and pour into buttered 1-1/2 quart baking dish or souffle dish. Bake at
350* for 45-55 minutes or until table knife inserted into center comes out
clean. Serve warm, topped with whipped cream and chocolate curls, if
desired. Makes 6 servings
