INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt over hot (not boiling) water, Nestle Toll
House semi-sweet chocolate morsels; stir until smooth. Set aside. In small
bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large bowl,
combine sugar and butter; beat until creamy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating
well after each addition (mixture will appear curdled). Add melted morsels;
mix until well blended. In small bowl, combine milk and vinegar; set aside.
Gradually beat in flour mixture alternately with milk mixture. Spoon batter
into 2 greased and floured 9-inch round baking pans. Bake at 350 degrees
for 20-25 minutes. Cool 15 minutes; remove from pans. Cool completely on
wire rack. Fill and frost with Chocolate Buttercream Frosting. Makes one
2-layer cake.
