Chocolate Raisin Bread

INGREDIENTS

1 pk (12-oz) Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels; divided
6 tb Butter
2 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Baking powder
1 ts Baking soda
1 ts Salt
1 Egg
1 1/2 c Milk
1/2 c Sugar
1 ts Vanilla extract
1 c Coarsely chopped nuts
1/2 c Raisins

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine over hot (not boiling) water, 1 cup
Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels and butter. Stir until
morsels are melted and mixture is smooth. Set aside. In small bowl, combine
flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large bowl,
combine egg, milk, sugar and vanilla extract; mix well. Add melted morsels;
mix until well blended. Gradually stir in flour mixture until dry
ingredients are just moistened. Stir in remaining 1 cup Nestle Toll House
semi-sweet chocolate morsels, nuts and raisins. Pour into greased
9x5x3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 65-70 minutes. Cool 10
minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack. Makes one loaf.
