INGREDIENTS
| 1 1/2 | c | Flour |
| 1 1/3 | c | Sugar |
| 1/3 | c | Cocoa |
| 1 | ts | Baking soda |
| 3/4 | ts | Salt |
| 1/4 | ts | Baking soda |
| 1/3 | c | Butter |
| 2 | Eggs | |
| 1/2 | c | Applesauce |
| 1/3 | c | Water |
| 1/3 | c | Nuts |
| 1/3 | c | Chocolate chips |
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine dry ingtedients. Add butter, eggs, applesauce, water and stir. Beat 1/2 minute on low speed and 3 minutes on high speed. Add nuts and chocolate chips. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Cool for 5 minutes before removing. Joyce Leberman's recipe.
