INTRODUCTION:
- Next event is the Rapture
- The Rapture will be for the QUALIFIED (ready)
- The Rapture will be QUIET (no special warning)
- The Rapture will be QUICK (in span & moment)
- Compare time of Rapture with time of Noah
- Preacher warned of coming flood
- They “knew not” (Mt. 24:39)
- The “waters prevailed” (Gen. 7:18)
- CLEAN HANDS ARE NOT ACQUIRED BY WORKS
- God does judge the quality of our lives
- Heb. 12:14, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”
- 1 Pet. 1:16, “Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
- Rev. 22:12, “Behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his works shall be.”
- God has commanded works
- Mt. 9:37, “The harvest truly is plenteous”
- V. 37, “The laborers are few”
- V. 38, “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.”
- Our hands become unclean with the blood of others
- Ro. 3:20, “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight”
II. CLEAN HANDS REQUIRE THAT WE JUDGE OURSELVES
- 1 Pet. 4:17, “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God”
- 1 Cor. 11:31, “For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
- Ps. 139:23,24, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
- We tend to want to judge others first
