And it helps fortify the believer’s trust in the Lord and reliance of His provision, even in the toughest times. No matter how choppy the seas become, a believer’s heart is buoyed by constant praise and gratefulness to the Lord.

Eggs, Grains Choco2 1 servings

INGREDIENTS

2 3/4 c Flour
2 1/2 ts Baking Powder
1/2 ts Salt
2/3 c Shortening; (butter, marg., etc)
3 Eggs
2 1/2 c Brown sugar; firmly packed
1 ts Vanilla
1 pk Chocolate chips
1 c Chopped walnuts; (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

In a saucepan, melt the shortening. When cooled slightly, add the 3
eggs and beat well. Then add the brown sugar to the pan, mixing well
to break up all the lumps, pour into a large bowl, and then set
aside. Sift together the dry ingredients, and little by little, add
the dry mixture to the wet mixture, using an electric mixer. While
blending, add the vanilla. When all mixed together, fold in the Choc.
Chips and the nuts.
Pour into a greased 9 x 11 inch pan and bake for 35 min in a 350
degree oven.
