RECIPE FOR TAG
I know this is a little belated for the woman that was looking for it. The
woman was having trouble with layering the cookie mix in a jar. I was given
a gift like that from a coworker and she gave me the recipe. She got it
from Good Housekeeping magazine. It's for chocolate chip cookies.
In a one quart canning jar, layer the following:
Recipe for tag: Preheat oven to 375F. Beat butter, egg, milk and vanilla.
Gradually add dry ingredients and mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto
an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9-12 min for chewy; bake 12-13 for crispy.
Let stand one minute; remove to wire rack to cool completely. Makes two
dozen cookies.
She cut circles of fabric, put them over the top of the jars and tied with
ribbon. They looked great (I'd never seen them before). Oh well, never too
late to start thinking about next Christmas!
