INGREDIENTS

1 c All-purpose flour
1 c Yellow cornmeal
1/4 c Sugar
1 tb Baking powder
1 ts Salt
1 c Skim milk
4 Egg whites
1/4 c Unsweetened Apple Sauce

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 400F. Spray 8 inch square baking pan with nonstick cooking
spray.
In large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt.
In small bowl, combine milk, egg whites, and apple sauce.
Stir apple sauce mixture into flour mixture just until moistened. Spread
batter into prepared pan.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out
clean. Cut into 9 squares; serve warm.
YIELDS: 9 servings.
Notes: Pantry: Mott's Natural Apple Sauce. (PER SERVING: 150 calories, 0.5
grams of fat, 370 mg of Sodium, 0 mg of Cholesterol, % of Calories From Fat
