God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
It is the Word that is 'living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword' (Heb 4:12). It is the Scriptures that bear witness about Christ (John 5:39). It is the Gospel that is 'the power of God for salvation' (Rom 1:16). Desire to be relevant or current must not prevail over biblical authority. Through the knowledge of the Word, the Spirit of God convicts, directs, and strengthens for Christian living.

CRANBERRY PUDDING: Cut cranberries in half. Sift flour and baking powder
together. Stir in cranberries. Beat egg, salt, molasses, and hot water
together and add the flour and cranberry mixture. Pour into an ungreased
mold, cover with foil loosely, and steam for 1 1/2 hours until pudding is
springy to touch and a toothpick comes out clean. BUTTER SAUCE: In a
saucepan melt butter, and add sugar, cream and vanilla. Cream together over
low heat until smooth and somewhat thick. Do not boil.
