Meats Soup 4 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1 pk (10-oz) frozen chopped broccoli
1/2 c Chopped onion
1 cn (10.75-oz) chicken broth
2 tb Butter
2 tb Flour
2 c Half and Half
1 ts Salt
1 ts Finely crumbled basil
1/2 ts Pepper
3 oz Of sliced almonds

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine broccoli, onions and broth in a saucepan. Heat to boiling and
simmer for 5 minutes. Pour into a blender and blend until smooth. Melt
butter and blend in flour. Stir in broccoli mixture, Half and Half, salt,
basil and pepper. Heat slowly, just to boiling. Simmer 1 minute, stirring.
Top each serving with sliced almonds. Yield: 4 servings.
