INGREDIENTS
1 | 10-oz frozen chopped | |
broccoli | ||
1/2 | c | Chopped onion |
1 | 10.75-oz chicken broth | |
2 | T | Butter |
2 | T | Flour |
2 | c | Half and Half |
1 | t | Salt |
1 | t | Finely crumbled basil |
1/2 | t | Pepper |
3 | oz | Of sliced almonds |
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine broccoli, onions and broth in a saucepan. Heat to boiling and simmer for 5 minutes. Pour into a blender and blend until smooth. Melt butter and blend in flour. Stir in broccoli mixture, Half and Half, salt, basil and pepper. Heat slowly, just to boiling. Simmer 1 minute, stirring. Top each serving with sliced almonds. Yield: 4 servings. JULIE FULGHAM (MRS.
