INGREDIENTS
| 2 | tb | Butter or margarine |
| 1 | c | Chopped onion |
| 1 1/2 | tb | Flour |
| 2 | c | Water |
| 2 | c | Chicken broth |
| 2 | c | Milk |
| 1 | pk | (6.25-oz) Uncle Ben's fast cooking long grain & wild rice |
| 1/4 | ts | Thyme leaves; crushed |
INSTRUCTIONS
Melt butter in 3-quart saucepan. Add onion and cook until tender, but not brown. Stir in flour. Gradually stir in water, broth and milk. Add contents of rice and seasoning packets and thyme; stir. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
