INGREDIENTS

1 | c | Chopped onion |
1 1/2 | T | Flour |
2 | c | Water |
2 | c | Chicken broth |
2 | c | Milk |
1 | 6.25-oz Uncle Ben's fast | |
cooking long grain & wild | ||
rice | ||
1/4 | t | Thyme leaves, crushed |
INSTRUCTIONS
Melt butter in 3-quart saucepan. Add onion and cook until tender, but not brown. Stir in flour. Gradually stir in water, broth and milk. Add contents of rice and seasoning packets and thyme; stir. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
