God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
Do you struggle with the sin of bitterness? Why don’t you ask yourself these questions: Do you possess a critical or cynical attitude? Do you find pleasure speaking negatively of anybody in particular? Do you try to get others to dislike someone and take your side? Do you have any feelings of anger or malice toward another person in particular? Do you resent someone? Do you experience outbursts of anger? Have others said that you unpleasant to be around? Is there someone you simply refuse to forgive? Is there anyone you will not reconcile with? Is there a certain name that you just can’t stand hearing?

INSTRUCTIONS
["Gekookte worst" is what we get when we have a hankering for a good ol'
bologna sandwich. It's diameter is smaller than bologna, and the texture is
a bit coarser, but the taste is similar. I think you could buy a chunk of
good bologna to replace this.]
Peel the cuke and cut in half lengthwise. Scoop out the seeds and slick
about 1cm thick.
Melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in garlic, shallot, cucumber, vinegar,
sugar, bouillon powder, and chili powder. Cover the pan and cook over low
flame about 5 minutes, till cuke is soft. Stir in evaporated milk and dill.
Cook, uncovered, another 2 minutes. Meanwhile, remove the skin from the
worst and cut the worst in chunks (thick slices, cut in quarters). Stir
into cucumber mixture and continue to heat another 2 minutes, till warmed
through. Add S&P to taste.
Lekker with boiled krielaardappeltjes [or noodles, rice, or mashed pots].
