We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

When we ask of the Lord cooly, and not fervently, we do as it were, stop His hand, and restrain Him from giving us the very blessing we “pretend” that we are seeking.
C.H. Spurgeon

If there is any point on which God’s holiest saints agree it is this: that they see more, and know more, and feel more, and do more, and repent more, and believe more, as they get on in spiritual life, and in proportion to the closeness of their walk with God. In short, they “grow in grace,” as St. Peter exhorts believers to do; and “abound more and more,” according to the words of St. Paul (2 Pet. 3:18; 1 Thes. 4:1).

EASTERN ORTHODOX CHURCH

BASIC R.C. BELIEF Officially known as Eastern schismatic churches, they came into being in 1054 when the Patriarch of Constantinople and the Pope, arguing about authority, issued joint ex-communications. There is little doctrinal difference between the two.

POST VATICAN II In recent years, great advances have been made toward unity. In Vatican II, validity of Eastern Orthodox sacraments and priests was acknowledged. The Pope and Patriarch have nullified the ex-communications, paving the way for full unity.
