I am in the midst of reading 2 great books and wanted to recommend them to y'all.
The first has been around a while and you may have already read it! It is God's Smuggler by Brother Andrew. This is the awesome story of Brother Andrew and his call to minister behind the Iron Curtain and to smuggle Bibles in for the Christians there. Now he continues his work in the "closed" societies of Islam. I know that this book is included in the newer book "The Narrow Way" by Brother Andrew and Jars of Clay. Not suer what else is included in that book. If you have never read God's Smuggler -- I encourage you to do so. It is very inspirational! I am adding this to our family's read aloud list.
I am also reading Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver. This has been mentioned before. It is a great book! Weaver's writing style is very easy to follow - like having a conversation with a friend. And her ideas are all practical and Biblically based. It goes beyond what I expected -- which was to learn how to have a more devoted Quiet Time. It carries on into our service as Christians and our attitudes! Great book!
Happy Reading! Barb
God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
