a fall day

Its a nice warm day, no sweater needed, but definatly fall. The wind is blowing things
around a bit and the sky is filling with clouds. Tomorrow a cold front is due bringing with it some rain.
Perfect time for us to get in our fall garden. We planted lettuce, collards and some cabbage.
Will try to get in some radishes before the afternoon is done.
The stove was blowing smoke into my eyes as I was painting part of the house where my
husband did some work. He had planned to do it after work but my daughter and I decided to
surprise him and do it for him. The boys are out chopping and spliting logs for the week-end.
Some days the work seems endless. I still have some wash to get out and there is a meal
to make. We are having chicken pot pie tonight. There is still bread to be made and a table
full of pumpkins that need to be canned.
What in the world am I doing here at the computer with all this work that still needs to be done.
I tell myself I need a little break and sit for a spell.
Break time over, back to work.
I just love these nice fall days.
