A fatal exception OE has occured at 0187:BFF83C29. The current application will be terminated

HELP! (sorry for shouting -- I'm getting really frustrated!)

I've been fighting a boot-up problem on a computer now for three weeks. I
do all the normal things, and it goes away for a day or two, then comes
back. It only happens on a cold boot -- never on a restart.

The system uses a Celeron 333a, has 196MB RAM, and Windows 98 SE.

Here's the error:

"A fatal exception OE has occurred at 0187:BFF83C29. The current
application will be terminated."

It's always the same error, with the same memory location...

I've checked the MS KB without any success. Any ideas, anyone??
